Schnauzers

Like other terrier breeds, they believe they rule the roost and soak up as much attention as they can possibly get. They are sturdy little balls of spunk who love nothing more than to run and play outside with the people they love. Schnauzers are clowns who enjoy making mischief. They are incredibly smart and will use that intelligence to do things like open cabinets or closets to get at food, toys, or your favorite pair of shoes.

Miniature Schnauzers were bred from Standard Schnauzers and the reason was to get Schnauzer that have same working ability with less cost.

Jack Chi

The Jack Russell Chihuahua Mix is a breed that proves that dynamite comes in small packages.

Revealing my Jack Chi’s dirty secret!  Birdy as of today March 2, 2013 looking innocent.

The Jack Chi can have characteristics of either parent breed. The Jack Chi generally is very playful and is known to chew. It is a good idea to keep plenty of chew toys on hand. This breed is high energy and does not tire easily. They need daily exercise and mental stimulation. They are intelligent and house broken easily. Some may be overly nervous like the temperament of the Chihuahua. They strive to please and love to snuggle with their owners. They also do well with children if properly socialized from birth. They love to smell and will sometimes follow their nose. They have a medium prey drive and will chase birds and squirrels.

Question about Chihuahua-Jack Russell Mix (some calls it Jackhuahua or Jack-Chi)?
Jack Chi also known to be called Jackhuahua and Jackahuahua.

Cocker Spaniels

Woman's Home Companion Magazine from March 1937. Great cover of two Cocker Spaniels—one black, one light brown.
My best friend was a Cocker, that was the 1950's. His name was Tugwell, we called him "Tuggy".  He had a most beautiful long golden (or  red?) coat. His namesake was Rexford Tugwell. In 1932 Tugwell was invited to join President Franklin Roosevelt's team of advisers known as the Brain Trust. After Roosevelt's inauguration in 1933, Tugwell was appointed first as Assistant Secretary and then in 1934 as Undersecretary of the United States Department of Agriculture. (I have no idea why my sister chose the Tugwell name)
