Boy Seaman Sid Horton and Simon the ships cat. Simon was awarded the animal VC and Sid was the youngest member of the crew of H.M.S. Amethyst when it took part in the harrowing yangste Incident in China when many of the crew were killed before the ship could escape the Chinese.
